2021 Fundraiser

Since we did not reach our goals in 2020; we have decided to double down on those goals for 2021. We want to raise $1,500 for the three charities this year. To do this we are making some changes to how we approach raising money for the charities.

First, we will be dividing 10% of all sales amongst the three charities equally. When we got to the final tally last year, we felt bad about the amounts not being equal. We made the change for the pursuit of an equitable outcome for all the charities of our fund raiser.

Second, we didn’t incentivize our guests or our fans. This year we will be doing something for our fans and guests as well to encourage participation. We will be having a drawing for a pair of tickets to the New Years Eve hockey game between the Dallas Stars and the Colorado Avalanche. It gets better, there is no purchase necessary to enter our drawing, however we do incentivize you to purchase something from us to gain additional entries. For those who still don’t want to purchase anything, we have incentivized you with additional entries as well, by spreading our message through social media. Lastly, our fundraiser was brief. It lasted about only two weeks. We think that had we come up with an extended time frame we could have met our goal of $1,500.00. This year our fundraiser is going to last from November 1st, 2021 until December 15th, 2021. That is six weeks or nearly three times longer for us to achieve our goals.

In 2020, this is what we did.

In celebration of our anniversary on December 13th, we would like to raise money for some children’s charities. It is our hope that this will become the first of many annual fundraisers. We will work to keep our selection of charities focused on children who need help, are suffering, or are terminal. We have decided to focus our selection this year on three charities. One that we directly benefited from, one our friend or guest have directly benefited from, and finally one that improves upon the lives of others that has no affiliation with us that we are aware of.

We will donate $10.00 of each family four pack paint session purchased from Thanksgiving Day until December 13th, 2020 (Our anniversary). This applies for both our splatter paint and our black light painting sessions. The transaction must be completed by the close of business on the 13th.

We selected this charity to honor Matthew M. (our friend) who lost his battle with cancer in 2017. Wish With Wings provided Matthew and his family a weekend vacation that the doctors would allow Matthew to take during his final months.

We will donate 10% from the purchase of each rage room package to Project NICU From Thanksgiving day until December 13th, 2020. This applies to all standard rage room packages (except party packages).

In 2008 our youngest child was born premature at 31 weeks. It was an organization like Project NICU that helped me and my wife deal with the emotions of having a newborn stay at the hospital while we were at home. They helped us learn what to expect and how to deal with friends, family, and strangers around our new baby. They prepared us for things we, even as experienced parents, knew nothing about.

For every gift card purchased from Thanksgiving Day until December 13th, 2020 we will donate 10% to Just for J charity. This charity does so much to help families with disabled and terminal children to not only live life but to be able to experience things that normal people take advantage of. We do not have any affiliation or experience with this charity, we just love what it is doing and represents.

All donations will be disbursed on or before December 20th, 2020. Our goal is to raise $1500.00 for the three charities, we do appreciate your help. If you wish to make a donation on your own, please click on the linked image of the charity of your choice.

*We do not require our guest make any pledges or donation on their own. This is something we have decided to do, in an effort to help others; to give back to our community.

While we didn’t reach our goal of $1,500.00 for the charities, we still raised over $700.00 for them. We had high expectations. We were honored that we could donate over $700.00 total to Project NICU, Wish With Wings and Just for J. We think it wasn’t bad for our first ever fundraiser. Thank you to our guests and supporters, without you we couldn’t have raised a single penny.
