On of the most common statements from people who think that rage rooms are a waste of money is….
“Why would I pay you, when I can break shit at home for free?”
While this question is very condescending, and rude. We understand the logic behind it. Why pay someone to break stuff? Sure, you have the stuff and the space. But do you have the time or desire to clean up the mess?
I’ll explain what I mean about the time and desire. First off do you have the time to gather all the stuff to smash, get some safety gear, build out a safe room or clean out the garage? Then how strong is that desire to actually do all the things necessary not to destroy your space intentionally? I haven’t mentioned the clean-up. For real!
To give you a sense of the damage and time consumed caused by breaking stuff, just visit our media page and watch the video about surviving 2020. The video shoot lasted only two hours between the staging, interviews, recording, and smashing of stuff. What you don’t see is the four hours of clean up it took.
Having to clean up all the broken debris that scattered everywhere took two people four hours. People who were equipped to safely pick up broken glass, metals, plastics, and how to dispose of the stuff legally and ethically.
This begs the question. What is four hours of your time worth? What about eight hours if you are cleaning up on your own? How much extra do you need to invest in safety gear? Do you have protective clothing, face shielding, cut resistance gloves, and a sizeable space to smash stuff at or in? Multiply your hourly rate of pay times six. That is what you should pay.
Why Choose Smash N Bash?
I would think by now the question wouldn’t be why pay, but why aren’t you charging more?
Visiting a rage room is the way you avoid lost time, clean-ups, and damage to your property. Our facility is built on a foundation designed for a three-story tall building. Our wood walls in our room are as much as 10 inches thick. Our ceiling height at the lights is about 12 feet high. As you can see, we are set up for the mess up.
Cleaning up the room is a science. With proper ventilation, solid brooms, dust pans, receptacles, and gloves prevent injuries, we have turned the “chore” into an after thought. Trust us, you can get hurt just as bad cleaning as you could breaking stuff. On average we dispose of over 100 tons of broken materials a year.
We don’t set our prices based on items you break. Over the six and half years we’ve been open, we have developed methods and procedures to offer you the best smash experience for your money. There are some places that are afraid to tell you how much they are going to charge you, simply because they have zero faith in the value of what they are providing you. While we have faith that your rage room experience will be worthy of a five star rating.
The desire is up to you!
We can do the math for you all day long, show you numbers, and tell you why our rage room is a good deal. But in the end, it all comes down to you! Do you want to pay someone else to take the time to make sure you’re safe, you have fun, and the stuff you break isn’t going to harm you or the environment? The other choice is to risk it all and keep $50 in your pocket.
