Our insurance company requires that any minor entering the rage room must be accompanied by a legal guardian or a parent. Our agent has told us that there are no exceptions to this clause in our insurance policy. In addition, the insurance company has also refused to insure minors under the age of 10 years old in our rage room. This is why we can only allow ages 10 and up in the rage room.
Our insurance company feels that there is less risk involved with our splatter paint room and does not have such restrictions for splatter painting.
Based on several discussions we have been able to obtain clarification on some commonly asked questions.
FAQs
Can my 13 years old child’s older sibling be the one in the rage room with them?
After several conversations with our agent, attorneys, and owners. There must be a sizable age difference between the siblings. The insurance company has stated that the sibling must be at least 25 years old to receive an exception (no matter the minor’s age).
Do I really have to go in the rage Room?
Yes, our insurance company will not cover minor’s when a parent or legal guardian is not present in the room. Additionally, it enables you to react much quicker to an emergency, than if you were watching on our time delayed CCTV.
My child is having some friends come with us, do their parents need to be there as well?
No, as long as their parents have completed our minor waiver, the friends are welcome as long as you or your child’s legal guardian is in the room.
My child wants to have their party at your rage room, can 6 of their friends all go in the room together?
No, our policy limits the number of people in the rage room who are smashing to four (4) people. The only exception to this rule that we have been able to obtain is for the parent or legal guardian of a minor to be allowed in the room in addition to the maximum of four participants. The parent is not allowed to be breaking stuff in the room when there are four children in the room.
Additionally, we would require that you break your group into 2 sessions so that we may remain in compliance with our insurance company’s requirements.
Do I Need To Pay For Myself If You Are Requiring That I Be In The Rage Room With My Child?
This is a two-sided question. For the stand-alone rage room packages, the answer is No. Just remember that anything you smash takes away from your child. For our splatter rage activity, the answer is yes. The moment you smash things, we will access a fee of $45 plus taxes and fees. This is the average price per person based on our standard packages.
